papaya mask

This rich tropical fruit is not just a dessert in a fruit salad or a cake. It has so many properties for the skin that we can not leave it alone.

In this article, we’ll explain the benefits of the papaya mask and how it works for your skin and hair.

The papaya, “a fruit of the angels”

  • This native of Central America fruit is known for its taste, texture and color.
  • It has the shape of a pear, the shell is yellow or pink and the flesh is orange.
  • It contains an enzyme called papain, which offers many health and beauty benefits.

Because of this, papaya is increasingly being used in aesthetic treatments

When Christopher Columbus arrived in America, he watched the natives take this rich fruit.

The explorers brought the papaya to Spain and Portugal and from there their consumption and production reached different parts of the world.

  • This rich tropical fruit has many antioxidants, vitamins (B and C), minerals and fibers.
  • It delivers
  • It allows a healthy and shiny skin, eliminates dead cells and provides moisture for the dermis.

In addition, the application of a raw papaya mask on the face reduces pimples and wrinkles for half an hour. Leaves the skin soft, supple and young

It can also be used to treat broken heels or dry elbows.

Some people use this fruit to lighten the skin and remove sunspots or hair removal (for example in the armpits).

As if all that were not enough, rubbing a few slices of raw papaya treats the ringworm and helps to reduce the inflammation that causes this condition.

Recipes of papaya masks

An “ordinary” papaya mask is very easily prepared:

  • The pulp is removed by the weightlosser
  • It is pounded in a mortar and if it has the consistency of a puree, it is applied to the face or part of the body that we want to treat.
  • Allow 15 minutes to pass and rinse with warm water.

Another alternative is to slice the papaya and gently rub it.

However, we can enjoy the benefits of this fruit in combination with other ingredients for certain conditions or skin problems .

1. Papaya and honey

If your skin needs a lot of moisture because you have exposed it too much to the sun, you can use this mask. It is recommended to repeat it once a week.

  • 1 slice of papaya
  • 1 tablespoon honey (25 g)

  • Peel the fruits and rub them with a fork.
  • Mix with honey and form a paste.
  • Apply in a circular motion to the face.
  • Leave for 10 minutes and remove with cold water.

This combination is more than nutritious and perfect if you want to restore the natural tone of your skin and eliminate blemishes and wrinkles.

  • 2 tablespoons milk (20 ml)

  • In a suitable bowl, crush the papaya pulp.
  • Add oats and milk and stir well.
  • If you have received a paste that is not very “watery”, apply it to the face (to make it more consistent, you can add more oatmeal).
  • Let it work for 10 minutes and then remove it with cold water.

  • Wash off with warm water.
  • Repeat 3 times a week.

4. Papaya, lemon and yogurt

A 100% natural blend that eliminates sun spots or aging and softens and moisturizes the skin.
